Maggie Koon Jennings has been directing choirs since 2005. A graduate of Western Carolina University (MAEd 2011) & Gardner-Webb University (BAEd 2005), Jennings enjoyed 12 years directing choirs in SC & NC public schools before becoming a stay-at-home mom in 2017. Her high school choirs received consistent Superior ratings in both performance and sight reading at state and national festivals, and her private singers have received numerous scholarships and competitive honors. Her elementary students regularly participated via audition in the SC Elementary Honors Choir. She earned her National Board Teaching Certification in 2014 and currently teaches piano, voice and Musikgarten classes for Maggie's Music Academy and is the music specialist at South Macon Elementary. She also directs the Cowee Baptist "Made For Praise" Children's Choir and has two children- a kindergartener and a third grader. She is excited and honored to help provide this opportunity to our Macon County community!
